Backend Engineer Intern @ Robinhood
• Implemented a Recent Searches feature for Android using Kotlin by caching search results on the user’s device and displaying results in the Search tab; Rolled out feature to 10M+ Android devices

Python Developer Intern @ Geotab
• Engineered and released a scalable deployment system used by developers to manage 10+ remote regional GKE clusters to support data residency regulations
• Researched requirements for refactoring our custom libraries due to a major version-up of Airflow and developed a test suite to ensure minimal service disruption during the migration of 100+ data pipelines
• Resolved urgent production issues for high-value projects through efficient troubleshooting and quick identification; designed a monitoring solution resulting in improved logging for pipelines run on Kubernetes
• Deployed an automated Jenkins CI/CD testing process which leverages pytest-cookies to detect errors in the Python Package Template and the Docker build before releasing to production
• Hosted a company-wide workshop on Python Package Management, garnering over 75 attendees
Software Developer @ Diedrichsen Lab
• Translated the MATLAB SUIT toolbox and packaged into Python (SUITPy) for rendering cerebellar
visualizations using PyOpenGL, Numpy, Nibabel, and Matplotlib
• Improved efficiency and ease of access of toolbox; resulted in use by 1000s of research labs globally
Co-President @ Women in Tech Society
• Roadmapped a vision for the 2021-22 year to increase female and non-binary student participation in tech through new mentorship programs, introductory workshops, and rebranding to promote inclusivity
• Spearheaded a team of 10 students to organize SheHacks 2021 - Canada’s largest all-female hackathon with over 800 applicants, 650 participants, and $40k+ in sponsorships
• Transformed SheHacks to a virtual event, expanded it from 24h to 36h which increased the number of participants by 115%, resulted in MLH certification, and $8000 increase in sponsorship
• Launched the Hacker Olympics beginner stream to encourage women to break into tech

• Studied the effects of a MRT drug on high-grade serous ovarian cancer spheroids.
Presented findings at the Summer Student Symposium
• Optimized the workflow of an ImageJ (FIJI) cell recognition program and wrote an ImageJ program to display images in a montage, resulting in improved efficiency for data analysis
